GRANADA CYCLE LANES

Granada has more than 30 kilometres of cycle paths for cyclists, on which you can cycle comfortably and safely, as they are not very busy and most of them are relatively new.

The most important ones are:

Emperador Carlos V – Andrés Segovia cycle lane.

This lane is approximately one kilometre long and is located near the Granada F.C. football stadium. Thanks to its width and width you can take a pleasant and quiet ride with children.

Circunvalación Bike Lane

This is a lane that runs from north to south – south to north parallel to the most important ring road in Granada. Thanks to it you will be able to move very quickly from one point to another in the city, even if they are far apart. This lane is more than 4 km long and runs through parks and recently developed areas.

Churriana-Granada Bike Lane

With a length of about 3 Kms. it gives access to the city of Granada from Churriana but I have to say that it is not usually in very good conditions of maintenance.

PTS Bike Path

This wonderful 5,5 Kms. bike path starts in the nearby village of Ogíjares and goes all the way to the PTS (Hospital) building complex, an area in the Zaidín neighbourhood where everything related to health, laboratories, universities, hospitals, student residences, etc. is located. From there you can connect with the cycle lane of the ring road to reach any other part of Granada.

North Bike Lane

In the northern part of the city is the longest cycle lane in the whole metropolitan area of Granada, consisting of approximately 6 kms. of bike lanes specially designated for bicycles. The route leads from La Chana to Nueva Granada Park, crossing the areas of Joaquina Eguaras and Casería de Montijo.

Poeta Manuel de Góngora Bus-bike lane

This lane for bicycles, buses and taxis is located in the eastern part of the city, close to the Realejo neighbourhood, from where you can access the tourist area of the Alhambra. We recommend you to start a walk from this lane and go up to the Mártires viewpoint, one of the most beautiful in Granada.

Camino de Ronda Bike Path

The Camino de Ronda is one of the main roads in Granada and its bike path is therefore the busiest. You may encounter skateboarders, pedestrians and any other surprises, so pay close attention.

GRANADA BIKE PARKINGS

In Granada there are almost 200 spots where you can park your bike, but there is one thing to keep in mind. In Granada bicycles fly, but in the hands of strangers, so be very careful, protect your bike with the best lock and a good alarm and do not leave it alone for a long time.

If for any reason you need to leave your bike parked somewhere safe and free of charge, you should know that there is a camera-monitored, roofed parking area near the south transport interchange. All you have to do is register with an App and enter a password to access or leave.
